For No Reason

In a flurry of small obligations –
Party planning
Dishes to be washed –

I don’t know if I’m crying
For joy or for sadness.

For life, I think.

For gentle snowfalls
And welcome reprieve.

For progress,
For loss

For no reason, really,
But gratitude

For mornings,
For healing

For a chance to try again.
