God(dess)

Godde is gender fluid,
The virgin mother
And the sugar daddy.

Godde’s pronouns
Are we/us/ours.

Godde’s laughter
Is rich and melodious,
Amused
By human boxes
Made to contain
That which can only be
Easily explained.

Godde’s eyes are diamonds,
Our skin the night,
our tears the ocean
When contemplating
Blood shed in our name.

Godde is red lipstick
And overalls –
High King of Heaven
And the salt of the Earth.

Godde is sunshine
On the first day of spring,
Defying
The still-cool wind;

Promising
A return
To life
