Now Baking – A Fresh Batch of UU Leaders

I am so thrilled to be taking CPE (clinical pastoral education) with this rockstar cohort of colleagues starting in October 2024!

In five years of working towards ordained and fellowshipped UU ministry, this is the first CPE opportunity that has been remotely accessible to me as a solo parent. I am so thankful for this opportunity and already geeking out about all the possibilities to come.

Goddess-willing, my internship will also come together (hopefully I’ll know soon!) and I will get to plan the spooky and sacred ordination of my wildest dreams for Halloween 2025.

A lot of my wildest dreams have been coming true lately (still waiting on Reputation – Taylor’s Version though) and they wouldn’t be without the love, encouragement, and direct support of my community. I believe so deeply in the Beloved Community because I have experienced the magic it, and I know each and every one of us has the capacity to bless the world in our own unique way – and sometimes we must first love and be loved into being.

Thank you for loving me into being.

In Joy and Adventure, and With Immense Gratitude,
HP

  • Who – Six Unitarian Universalist Ministers-in-Formation
  • What – Crowdfunding for CPE tuition
  • Where – Faithify.org
  • When – Sept. 15 – Oct. 13, 2024

Why – Answering the call to ordained and fellowshipped Unitarian Universalist ministry requires an incredible investment of time, energy, and resources. Just a few of the requirements include:

  • MDiv Degree ($30-$90k)
  • Career Assessment ($2-$4k)
  • Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) Unit ($2-$5k)

As we continue our denominational work of widening the circle of concern, we are called to critically engage with what we require of our professional leaders, recognize where inequity and inaccessibility come into play, and consider if our current processes are in line with UU values.

How you can help:

  • Support our Faithify campaign
  • Share with your congregation
  • Share in your newsletter
  • Share in your order of service
  • Share with your colleagues
  • Share with your organizations
  • Share with anyone you think could help, even if you aren’t able to give yourself.

Please give as generously as you are able and advocate for a more equitable process for future UU ministers-in-formation – especially if you embody privileged identities.

We will post updates throughout the campaign and also share some about the seminarians, their ministries, and their visions for the future of our faith.

This section is still under construction – check back for updates soon!

Meet This Year’s Batch!
