The thing about being raised by someone who thinks it’s ok to scream “fuck you” at their child is that when you grow up and meet someone who screams “fuck you” at you, it will feel just like home.
The thing is, once you’re tangled in that web it will take an act of God and Courage to shift all the energy you are putting into begging to be treated well towards getting untangled instead.
The thing is, the people who love you will sometimes have no choice but to watch it all play out and commit to being there to pick up the pieces when they inevitably fall…
